About

Dinah is a native of Santa Barbara - she grew up on the mesa; a child of tidal pools, manzanita trees, and two antique restorers.  Often enlisted to help in their home business, she quickly developed an eye for color, a mind for history, and a deep belief in the importance of preserving everyday treasured objects, especially in the recent onslaught of shoddily made furniture designed for obsolescence.

After majoring in Art Restoration at Scripps College in Claremont, California, and an internship at the Huntington Library, she spent time in the Bay Area practicing caning, rediscovering textile arts and oil painting.

Prioritizing her love of art and object restoration, Dinah returned to Santa Barbara and now spends her time with her family, swimming in the pacific, weaving, painting, and taking care of objects meant to be passed down from one generation to the next:  gilt frames and broken bowls, wobbly chairs and watermarked tables.  Contact her at dinah.parker@gmail.com, or for expert care and conservation of any loved object.
